Canvas communication is chat first which can be escalated to audio or video call if needed.

Yes, you need to have a camera connected – even if you don’t plan to use it for showing your face. Unfortunately some networks block incoming video calls if there’s no camera available on one side of the conversation.
Yes, of course. But access for video services can be restricted, especially in public Wifis. If no connection is established, switch to mobile data network. Please consult your company’s IT department to check the required firewall ports.
The canvas session link will remain active until the agent does not close the session by clicking on “Close Case”. Client will receive a message “Case closed” once the agent close the session.
Yes, it is possible. To ensure the compatibility of external hardware with the browser (access to microphone and speakers), please test it thoroughly before going on a call. Sometimes the browsers have issues with selecting the correct devices for audio and video.
It is very much device-dependant. But we recommend to have more than 20% of battery on the mobile phone when starting a new call. Keep in mind that some devices also reduce their graphics performance for saving battery from e.g. 10% capacity.
The system continuously adapts to the bandwidth available. A live video call roughly consumes 10 MB per minute.

No, there’s no limit. It depends on your platform plan, if the number of calls or requests plays any role for your license. Usually there’s a monthly limit for SMS but we’ll let you know when you’re close to it and your account will be automatically topped up so you can continue to help your customers.
